Featuring the finest in American turquoise.....
set in handmade Native American jewelry!
Located on historic Canyon Road in Santa Fe, the Silver Sun has been
welcoming visitors for over 25 years. We carry a wide array of Native
American jewelry, pottery, and fetishes. Our in-house designers
and silversmiths create both traditional and unique contemporary jewelry in a wide variety
of stones. The Silver Sun is well-known for Native American handmade jewelry
with collectible, natural American turquoise. During the years we've watched a
parade of fabulous blues and greens march in and out of our gallery on Canyon Road.
Today, it is becoming more and more difficult to find natural American stones.
We are always on the search to acquire turquoise from miners working individual
claims and from personal caches. We believe the effort is paying off....

If you love turquoise, you will want to see this new book! The
Lowry's have been in the "business" for years and it shows. They operate
the Turquoise Museum in Albuquerque, which houses one of the world's largest collections
of turquoise. The book is filled with beautiful color illustrations of stones from
most of the well-known American turquoise mines. The history of turquoise mining in
the Southwest is also given along with illustrations of some of the finest examples of
antique and contemporary turquoise jewelry. It has a great reading list
and a list of museums and collections which can be viewed around the
Southwest.
